Manager Series Production Microsystems

Small but perfectly formed: technical challenges PARI-style.

If you want to work on a wide range of tasks involving on the development of microsystems without someone breathing down your neck, I can only recommend PARI. Especially if you're a graduate in medical engineering, precision engineering, laser technology or technical physics. Personal responsibility is key at PARI. I saw that for myself when I joined PARI as a development engineer after graduating from a university of applied sciences in optoelectronics, specialising in medical and environmental engineering, and completing a Master's in Medical Technology.

I personally was looking for a successful company with great development potential that has proved its worth with the structures of a medium-sized player despite increasing globalisation. But all this became less important as soon as I met a great team of staff. This is why I also particularly appreciate the excellent cooperation between colleagues at the Development Microsystems department – in addition to the possibility of managing technical (laboratory) projects from start to finish. This allows me to work independently on problems involving all aspects of process and product development. From Day One I was free to take my own decisions while still being able to always call on a more experienced colleague with any questions or difficulties. Tinkering on technical problems, planning projects on my own, defining and achieving meaningful goals - that's what makes my job so interesting.

If you have a wide range of interests and are open to new ideas, you'll like it here. These are qualities in urgent demand at PARI. Could you give us an example? When we had to develop a welding process to join stainless steel sheeting for series production, we were confronted by several problems at once – whether this involved vibration properties, ageing of materials, tool wear or usage. But everyone made a contribution – and we came up with a first-class result!
